As a Scribe at EYE CLINIC OF WISCONSIN, you will be a crucial part of our healthcare team, assisting physicians by meticulously recording all examination findings in the electronic medical record (EMR). This detail-oriented role involves completing glasses and medication prescriptions while ensuring that vital patient education is conveyed to provide comprehensive eye care. By actively participating in the examination process and retaining essential information, you will help create a seamless experience for our patients. To excel as a Scribe at EYE CLINIC OF WISCONSIN, candidates should possess a high school diploma, with a CMSS or Medical Assistant certification required within six months of employment, or a COA within the first year. A solid understanding of medical terminology is crucial, along with demonstrated knowledge of the proper, safe, and efficient use of medical and office equipment. Success in this role requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced medical facility while strictly adhering to HIPAA compliance regulations.

Relevant customer service experience is essential, as is the capacity to see each patient as an individual, recognizing and meeting their unique needs. This combination of skills ensures that our Scribes contribute effectively to a professional, empathetic, and customer-focused environment dedicated to enhancing patient care.

Work Conditions

Eye Clinic of Wisconsin has multiple locations. While staff will be assigned to a "home" location, travel to satellites is a requirement of the position. Hours of work will be dependent on the needs of the Clinic. Requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Occasional lifting (30 pounds), bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and climbing stairs is required.
